Bogus ASNs are AS numbers that are not supposed to be advertised in BGP. Cyclops extracts the bogus ASN filter from IANA, and keeps track of all valid ASNs that appear connected to a bogus ASN. E.g. , you are X and Cyclops sees a path X-B or B-X where B is a bogus ASN, then it will generate an anomaly for X. You can query this anomaly by looking up for X in the ASN field. |
